The Grugq: a pioneering information security researcher with two decades of experience. He has worked extensively with threat intelligence, digital forensic analysis, binary reverse engineering, rootkits, mobile phone security, Voice over IP, telecommunications and financial services security. The Grugq’s professional career has included Fortune 100 companies, leading information security firms and innovative start-ups.

Dr. Pablo Breuer: currently the CISO of Helm Services. He is a 22 year veteran of the U.S. Navy. Some tours of interest include: military director of US Special Operations Command Donovan Group and senior military advisor and innovation officer to SOFWERX, the National Security Agency, and U.S. Cyber Command as well as being the Director of C4 at U.S. Naval Forces Central Command. He is a DoD Cyber Cup and Defcon Black Badge winner, and has been faculty at the Naval Postgraduate School, National University, California State University Monterey Bay, as well as a Visiting Scientist at Carnegie Mellon CERT/SEI. He has taught classes for various U.S. government agencies and industry on topics ranging from malware reverse engineering and exploit development to cyber policy and authorities. Pablo is also on the staff for BSides Las Vegas.

Sara-Jayne Terp (“SJ”): a data strategist with decades of experience in autonomous systems, and their effects on humanity. She’s taught data science at Columbia University, was CTO of the UN’s big data team, designed machine learning algorithms and unmanned vehicle systems at the UK Ministry of Defence. She holds degrees in AI and neural networks, and used them to build situational awareness for intelligence, transport, disaster and crowdsourced advocacy systems. She chairs the Cognitive Security CoLab and works on disinformation defences.
